The Nature of Cyprus was a photographic exhibition focusing on the birds of the island in an attempt to capture and present a significant aspect of the wildlife and the nature of the country. It served as a unique opportunity to promote the natural heritage of Cyprus in Europe. Read more...
UNESCO was established in 1954, aiming to promote peace amongst the nations on the basis of moral and intellectual solidarity, as this was an imperative need after two shattering world wars in less than one generation. The establishment of peace and solidarity is promoted on the grounds of four main pillars: Mobilizing for education, building intercultural understanding, pursuing scientific cooperation and protecting freedom of expression. Under these pillars, the preservation of the world's cultural heritage and support of the cultural diversity is considered as a priority for the organization.
OPPORTUNITY: The brief we received was an exciting challenge itself: To set up the whole exhibition - to the last detail - in Cyprus and then break it into parts again in a way that would allow us to set it up the exact same way in London and, later on, in Paris.
